Elaine,
Revival is still alive and the hope of the church today. God used you and
Rick, Jeremy, Ben, Amanda, and Katie in a wonderful and powerful way and I
say “praise God.”
Every service saw the moving of the Holy Spirit. Sunday morning with the altars
packed, I thought, this is what we’ve been praying for, for the last
four months, with the church open every morning of the week at 6 AM and people
coming to pray every day and this will never end as long as I’m here.
As you know it all began last February 2007 with the four day revival. Sunday
night when Bea was brought back to life, when God gave her another chance,
it was the talk of the town the next day, and still is. Wednesday night, at
the end of the service when everyone came down, it was kneeling room only.
All ten days were increasable as we watched what God was going to do.
I had lunch with my District Superintendent yesterday (Thursday) and was telling
him about our revival. How teens, 25 or so were there every night and how
that they shared they were saved and sanctified, so many of them. I went on
and on and finally he said, “revival’s good isn’t it. I
said, “I guess.” (Just kidding) I said, it’s more than good,
it’s life changing. He asked if two of our teens would come up and share
about being sanctified at the “sending off service” for NYC this
Sunday night. I said they would be glad to. Kaili Odom and Avery Richburg
said they’d be glad to.
Last night (Thursday) we had our church board meeting. It only goes to eight
thirty. That’s my rule. No all night board meetings. Well, at eight
twenty, we were ready to dismiss, and someone made a comment about revival.
They talked about how good it was and for the next (get this) for the next
hour I sat there and listened to the church board one after the other talk
about how great revival was and how their son, daughter was saved and the
lives that were changed and how much this has already changed this church.
I loved it. They were so excited I just sat there and let them talk.
What they didn’t know was, Sharon had made home made ice cream for when
I got back home, and listening to them talk and the excitement in their voices,
it was just fine. What I loved was, the families that came every night and
there were quite a few, but the families that came every night, their teenagers
and kids were at the altar every night. Those who chose revival over other
things, the whole family was saved, and most if not all sanctified.
WOW… Elaine, this revival, not just Bea being raised from the dead,
but this revival, praying around the clock two nights, church open at eleven
PM till one AM each night, opened again at six AM, not only was the police
who patrolled around the church probably every hour, but even this week, the
town is still taking about the Nazarene church having revival.
Who was saved that did not come to the church pryor to revival? One Lutheran,
who was saved and sanctified. Five friends the teens invited who are their
friends. My Baptist neighbor was came the last three services including Sunday
AM and PM and was sanctified and is planning to switch churches because he
has now found the “true way.” My neighbor across the street Josh
who goes to the Christian Church who was at the altar three times and only
missed two services. He was at our house after the board meeting asking all
kinds of questions about the church and sounds like he’s going to start
coming.
I could go on and on, but just want to say, this Church is on fire for God
and the flame is not going out. Praise God.
Thanks again for all you do for the glory of God
God bless,
Your friend,
Pastor Tim Odom
Cardiac
Intensive Care Nurse's Testimony
The following is a statement from Sharon Odom a member of the 1st Church of
the Nazarene, Collinsville, OK. She is a Registered Nurse with years of cardiac
intensive care experience.
"This is my professional perspective of the event that occurred Sunday
evening, June 24, 2007 at Collinsville Church of the Nazarene. This was the
first evening of our revival services with Rev. Ben and Rev. Elaine Pettit.
The song service had just concluded and Ben was beginning his sermon. Someone
sitting across the sanctuary discretely got my attention that there was a
problem. Another nurse and I moved as quickly as possible to the assistance
of one of our elder church members. Someone sitting behind her had noticed
that she was slumped in the pew and was not moving. We laid her down in the
pew to assess her, she was completely apneic (not breathing) and appeared
to have been that way for a while. Her pulse was faint, thready, irregular
and could barely be palpated. The appearance of her face was totally without
color, already taking that of someone who had passed from this life. Her eyes
were open and her pupils were fixed and dilated. I am a cardiac intensive
care nurse and have many years experience. I deal with death on a daily basis
and am quite familiar with the assessment of cardiopulmonary events. The other
nurse in attendance is also a critical care certified nurse. We determined
that CPR was needed and called for someone to dial 911. She called for her
pocket mask so that we could start mouth-to-mouth . As a qualified nurse,
I knew that our dear lady probably would not survive this event and was probably
past the point of resuscitation. Our congregation immediately started praying.
Elaine appeared at our side, anointed her, spoke her name and told her to
breathe. She said, “Ok” and took a breath. After a while when
she did not breathe again, Elaine told her to take another breath and she
did so. Eventually, she looked Elaine in the eyes and told her that she was
“Ok” and just needed “a drink of water.” By the time
the paramedics arrived she was sitting up and a person would never have known
that anything had ever happened. The paramedics took her to the ambulance,
assessed her and determined that there was not a thing wrong with her. Everything
was “Within normal limits.” Praise God! I have seen many things
as a nurse, but until then, I had never seen someone raised from the dead
before my very eyes. Many people witnessed this event. There was also a paramedic
and an EMT in the congregation to witness what had happened. This was an eye
opener for many people. It has affected not only those in the church that
evening but also our community. Again I say, “Praise God! “ "

Dear Prayer Warriors,
Pastors, Leaders, & Friends,
Many have been greatly blessed by the recent revival and miracle report from
Collinsville, OK!
I sent out Pastor Tim's Revival Report yesterday, and earlier this morning,
I sent out (& C.L. Davis sent out) the Cardiac Intensive Care RN's report
(from a professional viewpoint) of what took place when Bea Persinger, who
had collapsed during the service, was miraculously raised from the dead a
week ago Sunday night.
I wanted to share what had taken place in the months leading up to this. This
Church had Rick, Jeremy, and I for revival last February. Our ministry sent
the Revival Preparation Prayer Strategy, and Pastor Tim faithfully embraced
it, and encouraged the Church to do the same. The Church had a wonderful revival!
We would have extended it, but M-7 was next on the schedule & we felt
we needed to be there.
Plans were made, and their Board approved for Rick & I, Ben and Amanda,
and Jeremy to return for another revival beginning June 22 & 23 with a
Prayer Awakening Event, and June 24-July 1 for another 10 Revival Services!
I would teach the 2-day Prayer Awakening Event. Lucille Gribben (Elder's wife/78
years old--much like Gertrude Taylor) has carried a prayer and fasting burden
for our ministry for a couple of years. She gets up and prays from 3-6 AM,
and has fasted 40 days, etc. After her last extended fast, she told me that
she thought "God would be pleased if I would begin every revival with
a Prayer Awakening." Many Pastors have caught on, and we are doing this
quite frequently. During this revival, I would tag-team preach with Ben, Jeremy
would sing, and Amanda would teach Sunday School. We had the added blessing
of Katie Derbyshire with us, who also sang.
At the closing service of the February revival, I introduced our "Revival
Survival Follow-Up Prayer Strategy". Pastor Tim not only put it into
effect, but he was faithful to continue with it for the four months in between
revivals. He said that although he had been in the ministry for twenty years,
it wasn't until the February revival that he realized the power, potential,
and desperate need of prayer and fasting. He felt that although he prayed,
that in a way, he had wasted twenty years of ministry without this knowledge.
We assured the Church that our nationwide Prayer Warriors would also join
in the effort to pray and fast in preparation. Pastor Tim brought 16 of his
Church people to Waiting School Four this past Memorial Day weekend (about
a 15 hour one-way trip!). Some of the Collinsville people were saved, others
were sanctified, and still others were healed. We passed out the list of names
of the Collinsville people to Waiting School Four attendees from 20+ states.
We prayed over Pastor Tim and over Rev. Cecil Jones, (Maine D.S.-who brought
7 to WS4, travelling about 22 hours one-way) in preparation for the upcoming
revival and campmeeting. Several from Maine gave great testimonies of what
God did for them at WS4! We also passed out the list of names of all of the
Pastors and Churches on the Maine District for all of the people to intercede
for.*
MANY awesome things happened during the June Collinsville revival! I refer
you to Pastor Tim's report which was previously sent, as well as, the Cardiac
Intensive Care RN's Report-Death to Life. (Please let me know if you didn't
receive either and we'll get them to you.)
It is interesting to note that nearly the same thing took place when we held
two revivals in four months in September 2005-January 2006 at the Lexington
Lafayette Church of the Nazarene. This is when Beth Ellenberg (now a Registered
Evangelist) was healed of six months of paralysis from a stroke she had suffered.
(She was 42 at the time) Pastor David McCracken and the Lafayette Church also
had a prayer and fasting effort for four months in between revivals, joined
by our nationwide Prayer Warriors, and they, too, began their second revival
with a Prayer Awakening Event. In fact, we are scheduled for a 2-week revival
at Lexington Lafayette Nazarene in 2008!
It is our hope that these reports will increase your faith and bless you greatly!
May Jesus Alone receive all the glory!
Elaine Pettit
The Lord's full blessing was upon Waiting School II!
228 people from 20 states attended WS II this past weekend at the Oakwood Christian Retreat & Conference Center in Syracuse, IN. Here are some of the wonderful highlights:
It was noted by most EPM leaders & Conference Staff that this Waiting School experience went even deeper than Waiting School I. There were men and women saved for their first time, teens saved, as well as children. The altars were full every service, and many people were sanctified wholly.
Many powerful sanctification testimonies were given, including Judy Jackson
(Christopher Jackson's wife) sharing how she was sanctified wholly during
the Saturday night service.
Otis Thompson, from Killeen, TX flew in to Waiting School II on Saturday to
give his testimony of being delivered from pornography addiction 7 years ago
in one of our revivals at the Killeen First Church of the Nazarene.
We also heard testimonies from some who had been delivered from sexual immorality and alternative lifestyles.
Then there was the Saturday night Preaching and Healing Service! The Holy
Spirit fell on us! Janet Spradling, from Tennessee, had been confined to a
wheelchair for the past two years. As soon as Janet was anointed with oil,
she moved her foot...then her leg...and then stood to her feet and proclaimed
her healing! It was glorious! Her sister who had brought her was beside her
in tears...reportedly tears that were shed for the first time in a very long
time. Janet continued walking around, shouting glory to the Lord, and testifying
for about 30 minutes! The room erupted in glorious praise to God for His awesome
power in our midst! Janet shared how the Drs. had told her that they feared
her foot was going to need to be amputated. Glory to God for His wonderful
power and healing touch!
Rodger Wolfe, in his 60's, was saved Saturday night and baptized in Lake Wawasee
Sunday at the conclusion of the Morning Worship Service. I was also privileged
to baptize, with Revs. Christopher, Sara, & Benjamin Pettit assisting,
new converts Steve and Susan Foltin, their 11-year-old niece Gabrielle, my
goddaughter, Alexandra Lindauer (9), and Rory Cyr (9).
Dedicated to the Lord by their parents in the Sunday Morning Worship Service were Andrew and Katelyn Foltin, and Rory Cyr. Caleb Tafil was dedicated to the Lord lakeside following the Baptismal service.
Children's Evangelist's Steve and Janet Raeburn, who are expecting a baby girl next month, were surprised with a shower of gifts by many attending Waiting School II.
Rev. Peter Migner, from Virginia, once again webcast the W.S. II. Reports from all over Canada have come in, as well as other places in the U.S.
It has all been recorded by Cornerstone Audio & Video on CD & DVD!
The reports are coming in of how God used WS II to change the lives of people from all over the country! ALL GLORY TO GOD ALONE!!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
